Want to share Finnish
happiness by teaching it?

Learning actually makes you happier.
Researchers have found that engaging in difficult but doable activities makes people happy.

And this is where we step in.

We will set up an actual school with premises, teachers and a curriculum. Then we’ll invite 12 students from all around the world to learn about Finnish happiness. We’ll teach them Finnish skills: cooking new dishes, making art and crafts, learning about Finnish life, balance and wellbeing. Nothing too extreme, just something to help our visitors from abroad find their calm and reconnect with their inner happiness.

The school is up for 27.7.-6.8.2020.
The teachers will be giving lessons for one to ten days.

Finland and its habitants are truly unique. Finns find joy in the strangest things – and the United Nations has recognized us as the happiest country in the world. So, when it comes to happiness, we simply are the best.

However, Finnish customs can be a bit hard to understand for our friends from abroad. Explaining things such as saunavihta, ruska or eukonkanto to someone who has never been to Finland is rather impossible. But that’s the thing – they need to experience Finland first-hand.

That’s why we are looking for happiness teachers. Finnish happiness stems from our skills: Finns know there is a certain feeling associated with picking berries or cooking a fish you caught yourself. Or Nordic walking, swimming in a lake or just staring quietly into the bonfire. It captures all five senses. You feel your own presence, the calm and happiness unlike before. You reconnect with yourself, Finns know it by heart.

Apply now to become a happiness teacher and help others find their calm and happiness. We are going to save the world from stress.
